cfsi (conflict-free sourcing initiative)

More than 200 companies from seven different industries participate in the CFSI today, contributing to a range of tools and resources including the Conflict-Free Smelter Program, the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, Reasonable Country of Origin Inquiry data and a range of guidance documents on conflict minerals sourcing. The CFSI also runs regular workshops on conflict minerals issues and contributes to policy development and debates with leading civil society organizations and governments.

Discuss Due Diligence steps in Seoul (March 11)

CFSI and the Korea Electronics Association will host a seminar on March 11 on "How to Conduct Due Diligence For Customers." We look forward to sharing management practices for conflict minerals programs. Register for Seoul here. Program details.

EU legislation on conflict minerals in Brussels (March 17)

On March 17, CFSI, EICC and GeSI member companies will host a dialogue with European officials about the proposed implementation path for European legislation on conflict minerals. Companies have learned important lessons from their experiences with the Dodd-Frank Act and will be sharing their knowledge about the challenges of identifying and managing conflict minerals in their supply chains. 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. The cost for EICC/GeSI members, academics or nonprofits to attend this event is $160.
